French Catholic board's open house coming to a living room near you, with free pizza

Due to social distancing measures, École secondaire Notre-Dame-du-Sault, located at 600 North St. in Sault Ste. Marie, has chosen to transport this year’s open house event to the living rooms of grade 8 students.

As a result, these students and their parents are invited to participate in the high school's virtual open house on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. Recognized for its hospitality, École secondaire Notre-Dame-du-Sault will offer a pizza dinner that each participating family can enjoy in the comfort of their own home during the broadcast of the virtual open house on the school's Facebook page.

As part of this activity, students will be offered a virtual tour of the school as well as a presentation that will allow them to get to know the teachers, meet high school students recognized for their leadership and become familiar with the various programs and activities offered by the school.

École secondaire Notre-Dame-du-Sault offers a French-language Catholic educational program recognized for its excellence and innovation.

The school allows students to acquire a high level of bilingualism and to receive top quality education that will prepare them to pursue all post-secondary destinations. CSC Nouvelon secondary schools have the highest graduation rate in the Algoma and Sudbury districts.

Virtual Open House events for the CSC Nouvelon’s eight other secondary schools in Sudbury, Chelmsford, Val Caron, Espanola, Blind River, Wawa and Chapleau will be taking place in January 2021.

The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon offers a French-language Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSC Nouvelon provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 6,600 students enrolled in 27 elementary school, a virtual school and 10 secondary schools.
