NEWS RELEASE
PAULINE'S PLACE
*************************
Pauline’s Place is holding the 'Dumpster Diving – Garage Sale' to benefit people in Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District who are at the risk of becoming homeless. This year’s garage sale will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at our shelter at 923 Queen Street East.

All monies raised from this fundraiser will remain locally with Pauline’s Place and assist in the continued provision of programs and services for the youth, women and families in our shelter, while also focusing on expansion of programs offered to meet the unique needs of those in need in our community.

The sale includes furniture, housewares, electronics, toys, and kitchen Items, clothes and more miscellaneous. Donations of gently used items are accepted 24 hours a day at the garage behind the shelter. So let’s get those garages, attics and closets cleaned out and find lots of hidden treasures for us to sell.

Established in 2004, Pauline’s Place has evolved to a 19-bed facility providing emergency shelter to youth, women and families who are experiencing homelessness. At Pauline’s Place, we strive to eliminate poverty in our community by providing food and other basic supplies.

Dedicated staff use a support-based approach to assess each resident’s unique needs and liaise with other agencies as needed to provide advocacy and access to safe, affordable, sustainable housing.

We welcome everyone and seek help and support to make this event a success. Any questions about the sale or how to participate can be directed to our office at (705) 759-4663 or [email protected].
