Steel City Ignite are excited to announce the start of the 2020 season for both boys and girls teams at their new home at Sault Ste.Marie Activity Centre (formerly The Tech) at 130 Wellington St. E.

The 18U Girls team, for athletes born in 2003 and from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, 2002, will be coached by Cam Coulter. Tryouts are Monday, Sept. 21, and Wednesday, Sept. 23, 5 to 7 p.m.

The 17U Girls team, for athletes born 2004 and from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, 2003, will be coached by Ryan Hornblower. Tryout times are Tryouts are Monday, Sept. 21, and Wednesday, Sept. 23, 3 to 5 p.m.

The 16U Girls team, for athletes born 2005 and athletes born from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, 2004, will be coached by Jeremy Murdoch. Tryout times are Monday, Sept. 21, and Wednesday, Sept. 23, 7 to 9 p.m.

The 15U Girls team, for athletes born 2006 and born from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, 2005. will be coached by Steve Baum. Tryouts times are Tuesday, Sept. 22 and Thursday, Sept. 24 from 3 to 5 p.m.

The 14U Girls, for athletes born 2007 and born from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, 2006, will be coached by Annette Lamour. Tryouts are Friday, Sept. 25, 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 27 from 9 to 11 p.m.

The 16U Boys, for athletes born 2005 and from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, 200, will be coached by Becky Grisdale. Tryouts are Tuesday, Sept. 22 and Thursday, Sept. 24 from 7 to 9 p.m.

The 15U Boys, for athletes born 2006 and from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, 2005, will be coached by Shaylene Kern. Tryouts times are Tuesday, Sept. 22 and Thursday, Sept. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m.

The 14U Boys team, for athletes born 2007 and from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, 2006, will be coached by Taryn Coulter. Friday, Sept. 25, 5 to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 27 from 1 to 3 p.m.

There is a $30 tryout fee that is payable by cheque, made payable to Steel City Sports, (includes call back for second tryout if selected) receipts will be provided.

We will accept the first 20 who register, additional tryouts will be added as needed. Gym entrance is at the far back of the parking lot. Completion of a COVID-19 screening form must be completed.
