Deadline extended for free furnace giveaway

Wardlaw Heating and Cooling Inc. is partnering with United Way Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District to help one lucky family in need through the ‘Heat Your Heart, Heat Your Home’ furnace giveaway which has been extended.

Wardlaw has been providing the community with fast and efficient service since 1981. 

They are one of the leading HVAC contractors in Northern Ontario, offering numerous in-home services from Batchawana to Thessalon. 

This winter, they are working with United Way Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District to provide one energy-efficient furnace with installation completely free of charge to provide warmth to a family in need for many winters to come, the United Way said in a news release.

Sales manager Tim Lelievre says, “The last few years have been tough on a lot of people and we want to extend a helping hand to one local family in need and provide them one less thing to worry about during this winter season.” 

Fundraising manager Rayna Evoy added, “United Way Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District is very excited to partner with Wardlaw on this great initiative.”

Individuals are welcome to apply for the giveaway, for which the entry deadline has been extended, by contacting the United Way and filling out an application at 705-256-7476, ext. 217.
