Mane St Co/Achieve Fitness completed its first 30-day corporate charity challenge Stronger For Change, raising $5,000 for Sault Ste. Marie Christmas Cheer.

The purpose of this challenge began as an opportunity for the staff of local businesses to join as teams to help.

The hope was that corporations joining as a team would help improve employees' quality of life, health, productivity, energy and mental focus.

During the 30 day challenge, the participants received: three weekly group personal training sessions, meal plans, measurements and goal-setting, access to spin classes, group fitness classes and the equipment room; access to steam and sauna sessions.

A points system was used to encourage the challengers to stay on track with their routines. Points were received when teams attended their group personal training sessions. Extra points were given when individual members attended other classes, or used the other services, outside of scheduled training sessions.

The winning team, 8 Strong, consisted of: Megan Marotta, Jessica D'Angelo, Teresa D'Angelo, Alana D'Angelo, Sonia Taranto, Tiana Taranto, Bree Bennett and Alysha Briglio. They donated $5,000, provided by Mane St Co/Achieve Fitness, to Christmas Cheer.

Individual prizes were also given out to many of our challengers who successfully completed the challenge.
