Classic car and bike show to support purchase of new CT scanner

The Sault Area Hospital Volunteer Association (SAHVA) invites the public to attend its’ first annual Classic Car & Bike Show fundraiser event, being held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Maslack Supply Ltd. on Great Northern Road, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.   

All monies raised go directly toward purchasing a new CT Scanner for the Sault Area Hospital.

This fun event is open to the public and will showcase mint automobiles and motorcycles spanning several generations.  The band, Midway, will be performing from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., the Gnarly Bistro will be on site, serving up their delicious menu, a 50/50 draw will be taking place as well as many other prizes and draws throughout the day.

If you would like your automobile or motorcycle to be showcased in this great event, entry fee is only $10!  Registration forms can be obtained at a number of businesses around the Sault (Maslack Supply Ltd, Superior Nissan, Alfano Bros., Bitoniti Motors) or by contacting the Sault Area Hospital Foundation office at 705-759-3848.   Participants may also register on the day of the event.

The Sault Area Hospital Volunteer Association (SAHVA) is a nonprofit organization working in partnership with the Sault Area Hospital Foundation (SAHF) to raise funds to purchase medical equipment for the Sault Area Hospital (SAH).

The SAHVA has committed to fundraising $200,000, by the end of 2019 to be utilized in the purchase of a new $1.9 million CT Scanner, for the SAH Diagnostic Imaging Department. Last year SAHVA made a pledge payment of $70,000. SAHF announce last month that they have raised over $1 million towards the new CT Scanner since the Spring of 2015.

Together with our community, the SAH Volunteer Association in partnership with the SAH Foundation is ensuring the citizens of Sault Ste. Marie and area have quality patient-centered healthcare.
