The construction of Uusi Koti, our New Independent Living Building, is well under way and our occupancy is full.

Our capital campaign has made it a long way since it started in November 2012, but we still have a long way to go.

Our next Uusi Koti fundraiser is the ever popular Paint Nite.

Our Uusi Koti Leasing Agent, Heidi Schell, is hosting the Paint Nite where a lead artist breaks down a painting step by step and walks the participants through the process of creating a masterpiece.

In the end, participants will have a finished product on canvas to take home, all while sharing an adult beverage with friends and new acquaintances who are seeking to extend their creativity.

“Paint Nite proceeds will be used to help purchase a Parker spa & treatment tub with features such as side entry tub access, air spa system for a whirlpool experience & hand controls for recline & height adjustability. After having the opportunity of meeting OFRA’S newest family members while leasing out the apartments, it became evident that we needed to acquire a spa tub for our tub & treatment room. I am thrilled about being able to share in the excitement of seeing OFRA grow in providing more housing for seniors while creating more job opportunities!” said Heidi Schell, Event Coordinator

Over the past four decades, OFRA has become well known for providing exceptional care to its residents, a level of care that is unparalleled.

In order for us to continue to provide this level of excellence, it is essential we grow along with the expanding needs of our community’s seniors.
