Career Centre seeks volunteers to help newcomers feel at home

The Sault Community Career Centre has issued a call for volunteers to assist with its newcomer settlement program, states a news release issued today.

The program offers support to newcomers to help them integrate into the community.

Do you want to make a difference in the life of a newcomer? Volunteer today with the Sault Community Career Centre’s New to the Sault newcomer settlement program.

The Sault Community Career Centre is a recognized leader in delivering settlement services to newcomers and refugees to Sault Ste. Marie.

Settlement services provide newcomers and refugees with support to become established and integrate into the community. As a volunteer, you will provide guidance through their transition. Volunteers help create a supportive environment that allows newcomers to feel welcomed and connected.

We will be hosting a volunteer information session for new volunteers in the next few weeks. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer or have any questions about volunteering, please do not hesitate to contact Brenda Cooper, volunteer coordinator, at [email protected] or 705-542-9088.
