NEWS RELEASE

CENTRAL ALGOMA FRESHWATER COALITION

**************************
BRUCE MINES - The Central Algoma Freshwater Coalition (CAFC) is holding its Annual General Meeting Wednesday, Feb. 22, 7 to 9 p.m. at the CAFC Office, 9154 Hwy 17E, Unit 2, Bruce Mines, Ont.

The theme of this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is CAFC at a Crossroads.

In 2014-2015 Water Unification workshops identified a need for a resource facility for water-related issues in Central Algoma. With the support of volunteers, municipalities and provincial partners – CAFC took on this ambitious challenge. CAFC, to date, has not been able to achieve sustainable funding and we are now at a crossroads.

The AGM will include a round table discussion on the future of CAFC including a financial report, the need for board recruitment, and current and future programs and projects. Hope you can join us.
