SooToday readers enjoy checking out what the elements have in store for us by reading meteorologist Jerry Shields’ daily weather forecasts.

Jerry has always been fascinated by weather and its effects, both pleasant and powerful (even scary and awe-inspiring), driven to become a meteorologist, in part, by the 1996 film Twister.

SooToday spoke with Jerry, who shared his story with us, including some of the wild weather events he has seen in his time.
