FEEDBACK: Should we be living in a Northern bubble?

The idea of 'awareness' checkpoints are being floated with the province to keep southern visitors from driving north, but would it work?

As we get used to life out of lockdown again, a push continues to put Northern Ontario in a bubble.

The idea has been floated for a while now, but just last week, Sudbury's city council authorized Mayor Brian Bigger to make a formal request to the province for OPP awareness checkpoints to be set up along Highway 69 to discourage non-essential travel from southern Ontario to the North.

Some have said it won't work. Others that checkpoints will cause traffic issues.

Do you think of the Sudbury solution is worth trying? Let us know in the poll below, or email [email protected] and let us know how you feel.
