Women's summer basketball playoffs set

The playoffs are set in the first annual Algoma Women's Summer Basketball League.

Finishing in first place with a perefect record of 8-0 was the Algoma University womens's team while finishing in second place after a three-way tie and winning a points for and against tiebreaker was Smack Daddy's with a plus-27.

In third place with a minus-11 is Team Colizza followed by Team Shooters with a minus-24. Fifth place belongs to All Washed Up and sixth place goes to Young Ladies.

The playoffs are set for Monday, August 7th at the George Leach Centre:

6 pm - for the Toliet bowl game - All Washed Up vs. Young Ladies 7 pm - Smack Daddy's vs Team Colizza 8 pm - Algoma U vs Team Shooters

The finals will be played on Monday, August 14th at the George Leach Centre with the women's final at 7 p.m. and the men's final at 8 p.m.

There will be an awards party following the championship games at The Speak Easy Pub. Prizes will be given to the championship teams along with prizes for each team.
