This marked Lafarge’s first win of the season and we should see more wins to come.

BDO Dunwoody – 3 vs. Brookfield Power – 0

BDO seemed to dominate Brookfield in all aspects of the game, as they have with many of the teams they played so far this season. This win is their fourth in a row and they remain the only unbeaten team in the league. Their success is mainly due to their goaltender, Mary Jane McCormick who has not been scored on yet and continues her shutout streak. Goal scorers for BDO were Karen Rosebrook and Patti Storozuk (2). Picking up assists were Shannon McLeod and Julie Hazelton (2).

This was a late night game, that had lots of action at both ends of the ice. White Oak came out flying in the first period, catching Easy Express off guard. White Oak scored two unanswered goals to give the edge. Scoring for White Oak were Wendy Basawa and Katie Healey, both unassisted. In the second period, it seemed that no matter what either team did, the puck just wouldn’t go in, leaving the period scoreless. Things changed in third period, as Easy Express was able to break White Oak’s shutout, as Kellie Nelson rifled one passed Kristen Nelson to pull her team to within one. Not taking any chances, White Oak’s Basawa scored her second, unassisted goal of the game, so seal the win.
