In action from week 15 in the Women's Hockey League:

Lafarge – 0 vs. Brookfield Power – 3

It was a scoreless first period as the teams were feeling each other out, waiting for the other to make a mistake. Brookfield was able score at 7:30 in the second period to send them on their way to victory. Goal scorers for Brookfield were Cindy Sierputkowski, Betty Buck and Lori Ballstadt. Picking up assists were Sherry Boston, Francine Floreani, and Julianna Adam.

Crawford's Canines – 0 vs. B&J Trucking – 2

In a tight fought game B&J was able to score first as Chantal Anderson fired one passed Canines' goaltender, Melissa Holder, unassisted. To ensure the win, B&J scored once more in the third period. Scoring was Natalie Barry, assisted by Anderson.

Skip's Kweok – 1 vs. BDO Dunwoody – 5

BDO came out flying in the first, as Jennifer Greco was able to snap one passed Skip's goaltender, Karen Armstrong to get them on the board first. BDO continued their determined play in the second period twice more. Scoring was Greco, and Kellie Carter. Picking up the assist was Elaine DeRosario. Skip's was able to get one back, to bring them within two going into the third period. Scoring for Skip's was Julie Hodkinson, from pickup players Jennifer Methot and Sheree Wright. To make sure Skip's was not going to get any closer, BDO was able to score twice more. Greco picked up her third goal of the game giving her the hat trick, and Carter picked up her second of the game. Assists were given to Chrissy Wade and Trish Buller.

Algoma Ins. – 2 vs. Ont. Concrete – 3

In a game that either team took have won, Ont. Concrete's pickup goaltender, Melissa Holder was absolutely outstanding, frustrating the Algoma players time after time. Ont. Concrete scored first at 4:28 in the second period, as Gerri Miller rifled one passed, Algoma's Joey Montgomery. About two minutes later, they scored against, as Debbie Beauchamp got one of her own. Picking up assists for Ont. Concrete were Nancy Pedatella and pickup player Jennifer Methot. Algoma scored their first goal at 1:47 in the second period to bring them within one. Scoring for Algoma was Wendy Basawa, assisted by Theresa Glover. Ont. Concrete got the winning goal in the third period from the hands of Miller, unassisted. Algoma's second goal was also scored by Basawa, assisted by Robyn Bourck.

Lafarge – 0 vs. Crawford's Canines – 1

Crawford's scored in the first period, as Kathleen McLean was able to put one passed Lafarge's Nancy Dewling, as Shelli Ubriaco picked up the assist. The fans were treated to end to end action as both teams were not allowing the other to score, and both goalies made some big saves when needed.

Brookfield Power – 0 vs. White Oak Paint – 3

White Oak was able to get on the scoreboard early in the first period, which seemed to set the tone for the rest of the game. Scoring for White Oak was Elaine Angelic and Debbie Johnston. Judith Kovalo and Doreen Shaw picked up the assists. White Oak scored early in the second, to give them a three goal going into the third. Scoring White Oak's third goal was Johnston, unassisted. Brookfield pressured White Oak's goalie, Amanda Luther, but just wasn't able to get one passed her, giving her the shutout.

B&J Trucking – 4 vs. Source for Sports – 1

B&J scored two goals in the first period, two goals in the second to give them the win. B&J's first period goals were scored by Joanne Pine, from Jennifer Methot, and Natalie Barry. Pine picked up her third goal of the game at 10:00 minutes of the second period, giving her the hat trick. Methot picked up B&J's fourth goal, assisted by Chantal Anderson. Source was able to get within three as Ellen Ford was finally able to solve B&J's Charlie Boisonneau, spoiling her shutout. Wanda Grife picked up the assist on the play.

Country Way – 5 vs. Sports Gold – 0

Country Way scored very quick at the beginning of the game and never looked back. Goal scorers for Country Way were Patti Storozuk (2), Diane Peitrakowski, Donna May Sayers and Karen Jansa. Picking up assists were Brenda Sayers (2), Jansa, and Jenny Sayers. Country Way's Joy Agawa picked up the shutout.
