There were three games on Saturday night and five more on Sunday, as the weekend was full of action in week 14 of the Women's Hockey League.

Sports Gold – 4 vs. Skip's Kweok – 3

In the first game on Saturday night, Skip's was first to get on the scoreboard with just under 6 minutes to go in the first period. Scoring for Skip's was Julie Hodkinson, unassisted. Sports Gold was able to counter with 2 goals of their giving them the lead going into the second period. Scoring for Sports Gold was Lori Swan, unassisted and Marisa Pecile, assisted by Jean Feagan and Amy Howser. Sports Gold was able to increase their lead scoring twice more in the period. Goal scorers were Debbie Desgagne, and Howser. Picking up an assist was Pecile. Skip's got one back when Cheri Sewell scored, as Leslie Bois picked up the assist. Skip's was able to come within one on the third period, just wasn't able to score the equalizer. Scoring Skip's third goal was Sewell from Hodkinson and Kelly Cudmore.

Ont. Concrete – 2 vs. Country Way – 1

This was a hard fought game that came down to the third period, as both teams weren't allowing many chances. Ont. Concrete struck first as they were able to score two back to back goals. Scoring for Ont. Concrete was Nicole Beauchamp and Debbie Beauchamp. Picking up assists were D. Beauchamp and pickup player Lori Swan. Country Way didn't give up and was able to get one back. Scoring for Country Way was Karen Jansa, from Patti Storozuk. Pickup goalie, Amanda Luther was able to help Ont. Concrete get the victory.

Crawford's Canines – 1 vs. Source for Sports – 1

Both teams were able to score in the first period, and battled back and forth trying to get another one. Pickup goalie Meredith Agliani, made some outstanding saves for Crawford's, as Source's goaltender, Sherri Collins came up big when needed. Getting on the scoreboard first was Source, as Tianna Rutland rifled one passed Agliani. Picking up the assist on the play was Kathy Berdux. Answering for Crawford's was Shelli Ubriaco, from Tanya Thompson and Karen Bell.

Source for Sports – 1 vs. Lafarge – 2

Sunday's first game of the night was "edge of your seat" action, as either team could have won. With 16 seconds left in the first period, Lafarge was able to score first as Jenn Blahey rifled one passed Sherri Collins. Heidi Frech picked up the lone assist on the play. Source for Sports was able to tie things up in the second period. Scoring for Source was Tianna Rutland, unassisted. Lafarge took the lead with 3:23 left in the game, as Christine Robertson was able to score, assisted by Lisa Turco and Blahey.

White Oak Paint – 1 vs. B&J Trucking – 7

In this one-sided affair, B&J's pickup goaltender, Nancy Dewling helped to propel them to victory. Scoring for B&J was Deb Nolan (3), Natalie Barry (2), Sheree Wright and Joanne Pine. Picking up assists for B&J were Pine (2), Nancy O'Donnell (2), Chantal Anderson (2), Nolan, and Julie Laroque.

Skip's Kweok – 0 vs. Algoma Ins. – 6

Coming up with some huge saves when needed and helping Algoma get the win was pickup goaltender was Amanda Luther. Scoring for Algoma was Robyn Bourck (2), Wendy Basawa, Theresa Glover, Denise Goldade, and Julie Laforce. Picking up assists were Basawa (2), Goldade (2), Cathy Toni (2), Glover, Laforce, and Lisa Pauloff.

Sports Gold – 2 vs. BDO Dunwoody – 4

Sports Gold came out strong scoring twice in the first, only 54 seconds apart. Scoring for Sports Gold was Debbie Desgagne (2), assisted by Adele Nanne and Jessica Lannigan. BDO scored one in the first period and three in the third to get the win. Scoring for BDO, was Jennifer Greco (2), Chrissy Wade, and Kristie Kernaghen. Kernaghen, Desgagne, Katie Healey and Elaine DeRosario picked up assists for BDO.

Brookfield Power – 1 vs. Country Way – 5

Country Way had a balanced attack, scoring twice in the first, once in the second and twice more in the third. Scoring in the first for Country Way was Karen Jansa, unassisted and Patti Storozuk assisted by Andrea Garson. Jansa scored again in the second, this time Donna May Sayers picked up the assist. Brookfield's Cindy Sierputkowski, was finally able to solve Country Way's Joy Agawa to break the shutout. Assisting on the goal was Sherry Boston and Elena Palazzi. However, Country Way wasn't done with their scoring. Storozuk picked up her second of the game, and Karen Gartshore picked up the other. Picking up assists were Julie Hazelton, Liisa McMillan, Garson, and Jansa.
