WOMEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE BEING ORGANIZED

The Algoma Basketball Association plans to introduce a women's league that will begin play in early December. Officials are looking at a four-team league with games being played Fridays at 5 and 6 p.m. at the Sault College gym.

The Algoma Basketball Association plans to introduce a women's league that will begin play in early December. Officials are looking at a four-team league with games being played Fridays at 5 and 6 p.m. at the Sault College gym. The league is open to females 17 years of age and older. All who are 17 and older are welcome, including high school and college players. Registration fee is $75 per player. A maximum of 40 players will be allowed (10 per team) so registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Players who wish to play on the same team must make their requests known at the time of registration.
