Women win and men lose in Algoma split

ALGOMA U WOMEN'S TEAM DEFEAT FANSHAWE AGAIN

Algoma U's Thunderbird Women's Basketball team returned to their winning form with a victory over the Fanshawe College Falcons. The Thunderbirds defeated the Falcons with a score of 61 to 46.

Top scorers for Algoma University College were Danielle D'Ettorre with a 25 points, Lara Stilin with 22 and Kristen Conway with 7.

The Algoma U Men's basketball team also played the Fanshawe College Falcons Men's team but they lost by a score of 69 to 74. Top scorer's for Algoma U were Zach Wright with 25 points, Patrick Murray with 17 and Stefon Wilson with 6.

The Algoma U Women's team hits the road next weekend when they travel to the Redeemer University College for their annual Red & White Basketball Tournament. The Men's basketball team are also on the road next weekend when they participate in the Alpena College Can-Am Tournament.
