Wolverines, Eagles emerge with hockey wins

The White Pines Wolverines continue to be unbeatable in the High School Hockey League after action at the John Rhodes Community Centre on Friday.

Chris Spring, Justin Wensley and Anthony Silvano scored to lead White Pines, now 12-0-1 on the season, past the Korah Colts 3-1. Dan Pandzik replied for the Colts.

A.J. Rivard recorded the shut out in the Sir James Dunn Eagles 7-0 win over the Bawating Braves. Caile Appleton scored twice for the Eagles while singles went to J.J. Bergamin, Domenic Albidone, Jake Hunter, Chris Bruni and Nick McEwan.

Action continues on Monday as Sir James Dunn meets the Central Algoma Secondary School Huskies at 3:20 p.m. at the Rhodes.
