Mid Canada Construction Midget AA Wildcats travelled to St. Paul, Minnesota last weekend for their fourth tournament of the season.

Regina Rebels AAA Midgets was the Wildcats first opponent and after a great opening ceremonies, Mid Canada found themselves down 1-0 after two periods with several chances to score but coming up empty. After the flood, the Wildcats again were shut out by a hot Rebel goaltender and dealt a 4-0 loss.

Mid Canada found themselves playing the home town Thoroughbreds in game two. With a team comprised of fourteen 19 nineteen year olds they skated hard after the Wildcats. With Dana Desaulnier facing a steady barrage of shots, the Wildcats held the Thoroughbreds to a score of 2-0 for after the 1st, 4-0 after 2 and 6-0 finishing loss. Mid Canada Wildcats were outshot 67 to 13 in this game, however missed 4 quality scoring opportunities to turn the momentum of the game even with the adversity of 28 minutes in penalties dealt to the Wildcats versus 12 minutes for the Minnesota team.

Game 3 saw the Mid Canada Construction Wildcats play the Bluewater Jr Hawks AA Intermediate hockey team from Southern Ontario. The Wildcats played hard but did not have the best showing in a 9-0 loss to the Hawks. Again given many quality scoring chances, the Wildcats could not put the puck in the Hawk net.

With 18 teams in the tournament, 14 teams played one consolation game. Mid Canada Construction Wildcats faced a select team from Alaska. In this matchup, the Wildcats pressured the Alaska team continually for 45 minutes to secure scoring from Jasmine Roy, Jenna Buck and two goals from Cassie MacFarlane. Dana Desaulnier secured the shut out.

The Wildcats next tournament is Dec 26 - 30th in Hartford, Connecticut
