PLYMOUTH -- A hometown boy haunted the Soo here Friday as the Plymouth Whalers harpooned the Greyhounds 6-2. Chris Thorburn scored three goals and added an assist as the Whalers put the Greyhounds away with four goals in the third period and sent them to their second loss in a row under replacement coach Steve Harrison. The hat trick gave Thorburn 30 goals for the season. He also had an assist. Mike Amodeo, with his 15th of the season, and captain Trevor Daley, with his 20th, scored for the Soo. Daley was on the ice for four of Plymouth's six goals. Backup Joey Biasucci got the call in goal for the Soo to give starter Adam Munro a rest. Biasucci made 27 saves.
