WEEKEND WINS FOR NORTH STARS

Soo North Stars returned home Sunday with a pair of weekend road wins in the Great North Midget Hockey League. Saturday in Kirkland Lake, the Soo got goals from David Turco, Adam Combs and Michael D'Agostini en route to a 3-1 win over the 87s.

Soo North Stars returned home Sunday with a pair of weekend road wins in the Great North Midget Hockey League. Saturday in Kirkland Lake, the Soo got goals from David Turco, Adam Combs and Michael D'Agostini en route to a 3-1 win over the 87s.

Sunday in New Liskeard, goalie Michael Maulucci posted his league-leading fifth shutout in a 3-0 North Stars' blanking of the Cubs. Turco, D'Agostini and Chris Towell scored for the North Stars, who are in second place in the Great North loop with a 17-7-4 record
