Victories by St. Basil and White Pines

The High School Hockey League season continued on Wednesday night at the John Rhodes Community Centre with a pair of games.

In the opener, Andrew Allen scored three times and Anthony Naccarato recorded the shutout in an 8-0 St. Basil Saints win over the Bawating Braves.

Mike Wozny, Dan Nogalo, Justin Minelli, Kyle Hoffman and Andrew Naphan added singles for the winners.

In the other game, Matt Santos' two goal effort paced the White Pines Wolverines past the Central Algoma Secondary School Huskies 5-2.

Tommy Sywstun, Chris Figures and Chris DiPaulo added goals for the Wolverines while Mike Brown and Ryan Kent replied for CASS.
