Urban Sprawl Rail event on Finn Hill raving success

What young skiers & boarders have been waiting for...

Searchmont And Area Freestyle Alliance (SAFA) hosted the second of three rail competition events in a series held in the urban environment of Sault Ste. Marie on Finn Hill last week.

32 participants between the ages of 5 and 29 signed up and showed their incredible talent and determination.

In the skiing category, Jacob Running took first, Casey Travaglini second and Robbie Luck third place.

In the "under 13 snowboarding" category, Justin Nadeau took first, Jacob Stubinsky second and Devon Philipps third place.

In the "girls 13 and over snowboarding" category, Brittany Fera took first, Jenna Congdon second and Maddi Simpson third place.

The "boys 13 and over" snowboard category, Anthony Stefannizzi took first, Skye Chyc second and Chris Bennett third.

The third and final competition takes place on February 7th at the Wellington Square Mall outside at 6:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded at this event.

Parents supplied Flood lights, generators and encouragement.
