SOO INDIANS

Unbeaten Indians home to Sudbury, Blind River Fresh from an opening-weekend home stand in which they disposed of both the North Bay Skyhawks and Abitibi Eskimos, the Soo Indians are home for two more Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League games this weekend. Saturday, the Indians will play host to the defending champion Sudbury Northern Jr. Wolves and on Sunday, it's the Blind River Beavers in town. Both games will begin at 7 p.m. at Big Bear Arena. Sudbury features former Soo Greyhound forward Scott Restoule while the game against Blind River pits Indians' head coach Jim Capy against his former team. Indians' forward Nick Zilka is also a former Beaver, having played for Capy in Blind River last season. In their two wins to date, the Indians have outscored the opposition 8-3 and received goals from eight different players. While goalscoring has been balanced, goaltending has been strong as both Brennan Poderzay and Elliot Hogue have posted victories in the Indians' net. Admission to both upcoming games is $5 per person.
