The Sault Seamless Eavestrough Under-12 Girls Civics turned in another solid tournament performance at the John Henderson Memorial Tournament in London Ontario.

The Sault girls went undefeated in the round robin and dominated the semi-finals in their quest to the finals against the favoured and highly ranked Scarborough United Hurricanes.

In round robin play, the Sault team opened with a 2 - 0 victory against the Southwest Tornadoes. Their second game had them against London's top squad -- the London United Force and they battled to a 2 - 2 tie.

Needing a big victory in the final round robin match, the girls came out strong and cruised to a 3 - 0 victory over the Chatham Strikers.

The semi-final pitted the Sault team against London United Matrix and the Sault team was not to be denied as they defeated London 4 - 0 to set up the final with Scarborough.

The final was a great contest between two very evenly matched teams and it took two periods of overtime before the game was finally decided.

Scarborough scored in the 17th minute of the 20 minute overtime frame to defeat the Sault girls 2 - 1.

Sault team members are Kelsey Greco, Sydney Nolan, Taylor Foisy, Anna Lees, Dina Mandolesi, Jennifer Elliott, Tiana Deluzio, Taylor Rocca, Danielle Amadio, Kate Glassford, Jamie Sacco, Victoria Medaglia, Samantha Iacoe, Tiana Iacoboni, Abbie Hurd, Brittany Syms, Olivia Pavoni and Celine Valiquette.
