Soo Greyhounds goaltender Tucker Tynan has been suspended for three games after receiving a match penalty on Thursday night in Guelph.

Tynan was given the penalty after punching Guelph Storm forward Sasha Pastujov with his blocker after the latter ran into him during a play midway through the second period.

Pastujov was given a major penalty for charging on the play as well and has been suspended for two games.

Guelph forward Danny Zhilkin has been suspended for two games for his role in the melee after the league determined that he left the Guelph bench to join.

Storm coach George Burnett has also been suspended for two games because Zhilkin left the bench.

The teams resume their best-of-7 Western Conference quarter-final series on Saturday night in Sault Ste. Marie.
