Two Searchmont skiers ready to compete for Team Ontario

Ella Filice and Katelyn Real from the Searchmont Ski Runners have been selected to compete for Team Ontario at the ACA U16 Eastern Regional Championships in Mont St. Anne March 22 to 24.

Team Ontario is comprised of 30 female and 30 male racers who will compete against athletes from across the eastern provinces and U.S. to secure a spot at the Whistler Cup in April.  

Selections for Team Ontario were based on performance at the U16 OCUP finals that took place over the past week in Mont St. Marie/Camp Fortune, where both Filice and Real had strong finishes.  

U14 athletes have arrived in Collingwood for the OCUP finals taking place this weekend, March 14 to 17, which will determine selections to represent Team Ontario at the Can Am Event in Maine at the end of the month.
