Two figure skaters qualify for Ontario Winter Games

Qualifying for the Ontario Winter Games were just two highlights for the Lake Superior Figure Skating Club after competing in the BMO Northern Ontario Figure Skating Championships on October 28-29 in Sudbury.

Qualifying for the Ontario Winter Games were just two highlights for the Lake Superior Figure Skating Club after competing in the BMO Northern Ontario Figure Skating Championships on October 28-29 in Sudbury. Jana Longo captured the silver medal in the juvenile ladies event which qualified her to move on to the 2006 Ontario Winter Games in Barrie in March. Longo was also named an alternate for the BMO Skate Canada Junior Nationals. Sasha Ludavicius placed fifth overall in Pre-Novice Ladies category which also qualifies her to move on to the 2006 Ontario Winter Games. Ludavicius is also the alternate for the Western Challenge.

Chelsea Vial placed 17th overall in Pre-Novice Ladies, Victoria Prouse placed 12th overall in Novice Ladies and Michela Febbraro placed 13th overall in Novice Ladies.
