The Sault Ste Marie Gymnastic Club power tumbling team just returned from Toronto, where 3 Sault tumblers competed at the Eastern Canadian Championships.

This was the second straight year where 3 members of the SSMGC power tumbling team made their way to the Eastern Canadian Championships, which is an outstanding result for the program that only started just over 2 years ago. Tumblers Bradley Nakamura, Jaden Cerasuolo and Kaylee Raynor, where joined by coach Holly Mousseau at this years Championships.

For Bradley Nakamura, this was his second trip to the Eastern Canadian Championships, however he moved up one category from last year. Bradley competed in the Provincial B category, where he placed 5th after day one earning him a spot in the finals. During finals, Bradley tumbled his way to a 5th place finish.

Both Jaden Cerasuolo and Kaylee Raynor competed in the Provincial C category. Jaden, who qualified 2nd going into Easterns was joined by 3 other tumblers from Ontario to represent Team Ontario in the team competition. Jaden's strong efforts helped Team Ontario tumble to the gold medal over Quebec and Nova Scotia. Individually, Jaden tumbled her way to a strong 8th place finish. Teammate Kaylee Raynor, who had a strong performance on day one, qualified 4th going into individual finals. In finals, Kaylee was up against tumblers from both Quebec and Nova Scotia, where she turned in another great performance resulting in a 5th place finish.

Overall, all 3 SSMGC tumblers ended up in the top 10 in the individual competition. Another great result capping off what was a highly successful year for the young power tumbling team.
