Tuesday's Mayor's Cup results

The Soo Kings, Stitch King/Weedman and Microage/Smack Daddy's all picked up wins on Tuesday as the Mayor's Cup held their second last night of round robin action.

In the open division, Jeff Green's two goals and two assists along with two goals and an assist from Ken Smith helped pace the Kings to an 8-6 win over the Wawa Travelers Alumni. Gary Armstrong also scored twice in the victory while Marc Disano, with two assists, and Rob Paluhnuk, with a helper, added singles. Nick Chanis and Brett Maguire recorded two assists each.

Tyson Sweezey replied with two goals and an assist for the Alumni while singles went to Marc Storey, who also added two assists, Ian Jamieson, Kyle Wood and Tyler Gendron. Randy Lamothe chipped in three helpers.

In the 33+ division, Tony Greco's four goals lead Stitch King/Weedman to a 14-6 romp over Smack Daddy's. Mike Johnson scored three times and assisted on two others, Jody Wilson added three goals and an assist while Tim Burton notched two goals to go with two helpers. Lou Melchiorre tallied a goal and four assists, Bill Carriere a goal and three assists while Scott Warrick set up a pair.

Barry Bissonnette answered with two goals for Smack Daddy's with singles going to Brian Ducharme, who added three assists, Joe Albert, Wade Varcoe and Tony Jameus. Greg Vance recorded two assists.

In the final game, Microage/Smack Daddy's defeated Mr. Transmission 5-3 on the strength of two goals and two assists from Kevin Auger. Dean Williams, Don Gerhart and Mark Spragge scored once each while Greg Oja recorded three assists and Ian Jefferson two.

Mark Patellia replied with a goal and an assist for Mr. Transmission while Romano Carlucci and Al Carrier added singles. Kevin Dukes set up two goals.
