Tuesday's high school basketball results

The St. Basil Saints cruised to a sweep of the White Pines Wolverines on Tuesday as the Girls High School Basketball League began their second week of play.

At White Pines, Lindsey Alloy drained nine points and Lara Stilin eight to lead the Saints to a 47-20 win in the senior division. Erika Warren topped the Wolverines with seven points. In junior, Angela Bruni and Corinna Bruni scored 12 points each to led St. Basil to a 43-10 victory.

In a single senior division game at Korah, Jaclyn Cummings and Kaitlyn Train poured in 19 points each to pace the Colts to a 50-32 win over the Mount St. Joseph College Royals. Vanessa Chaimbrone replied with 13 points and Erin Hurd seven for the Royals.

At Bawating, the Sir James Dunn Eagles used nine points from Emilie Kozak and eight from Stephanie Davies in a 47-29 win over the Braves. Amanda Whitmell led the Braves with 10 points.

In junior, nine points from Stephanie Leask and seven from Brooke Beacock helped the Braves edge the Eagles 29-26. Leean Schildroth replied with eight points for the Eagles.
