Toss a teddy bear and stuff a bus tonight at the Gardens

TEDDY BEAR TOSS / STUFF-A-BUS CAMPAIGN TO BE HELD AT FRIDAY’S HOUNDS GAME

Thursday, November 10th, 2005 -- Friday night, fans are encouraged to participate as the Soo Greyhounds team up with COPS Marketing, Q104 and Sault Transit to bring you this year's Stuff-A-Bus for Christmas Cheer Campaign and Annual Teddy Bear Toss at Memorial Gardens.

Both events will take place on the same night (Friday, November 11th) when the Greyhounds host the Windsor Spitfires at 7:30 p.m.

FOR THE TEDDY BEAR TOSS: - Fans are asked to bring a new or gently used stuff bear or animal to toss onto the ice - When the Hounds score their first goal of the game, fans let them fly in an effort to cover the ice surface at Memorial Gardens

FOR THE STUFF-A-BUS - In addition to the stuff toys that are picked up from the ice, the campaign participants will be accepting toys, clothes, canned goods etc.

** NOTE ** - One area that has lacked in recent years has been gifts for Young Teens (around the 12 years old) group. If you have any video games, CD's or other items that could help in this are it would be much appreciated.

ALL ITEMS WILL BE DONATED TO CHRISTMAS CHEER FOR DISTRIBUTION TO THOSE LESS FORTUNATE IN THE SOO AND AREA.

In addition, the SAH Gift Gala Committee will be back selling Teddy Bears at the game. Cost is $20 per bear with proceeds going to the Radiation Bunker in the new hospital.
