Titan juvenile girls take down Espanola

Sault Ste. Marie's Titan Juvenile Girls' Basketball team had a successful pair of games on Saturday versus the Espanola Selects. In the first game, the Titans beat the Selects 66-34, led by Sarah DiDonato who had a game high 21 points.

Sault Ste. Marie's Titan Juvenile Girls' Basketball team had a successful pair of games on Saturday versus the Espanola Selects. In the first game, the Titans beat the Selects 66-34, led by Sarah DiDonato who had a game high 21 points. Corina Bruni and Chrissy Briel also had great performances, scoring 19 and 14, respectively. The Selects' Felicia Mazerolle scored 20 pts, in a solid effort. After a shaky start in the second game, the Titans were able to upend Espanola 71-39 at the end of 40 minutes of play. Corina Bruni set the stage for the Titans with 22 points, while four other Titan players also hit double digits. Sarah DiDonato and Chrissy Briel had 12 points each, Danielle White added 11 and Meagan Delfre hit for 10. Again, the Selects' star Felicia Mazerolle led her team with 22 points, while Stephanie Auge chipped in with 10.
