Titan boys finish second in Barrie

The Titan basketball Juvenile boy’s team finished second this past weekend in a tournament in Barrie. In the first game of the tourney verses the Kitchener–Waterloo Eagles, it took the Titans double overtime to prevail with the 70-65 victory.

The Titan basketball Juvenile boy’s team finished second this past weekend in a tournament in Barrie.

In the first game of the tourney verses the Kitchener–Waterloo Eagles, it took the Titans double overtime to prevail with the 70-65 victory. Leading the team in scoring was Nick DiDonato with 26 points and Chris Hunt 11.

The second game of the tournament saw the Titans face the local team from Barrie. Going in to the second half the Titans were down 10 points and tied the game up with 3.4 seconds left. Nick DiDonato sealed the game with a baseline drive to finish of the Barrie royals 44-43.

Leading the team in scoring was Kevin McEachern with 16 points and DiDonato with 12.

In the finals against Caledon, the Titans seemed to get off to their custom slow start that saw them get down 10 points heading into the half. The players battled back to tie the game 45–45 with the ball in there hands with 6.4 seconds only to come up short.

This was a great weekend for the boys who played tough all weekend long.
