Thunderbirds to host Sudbury at Steelback Centre

If you are then the Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club encourages you to come check out all the action of their affiliate franchise, the SOO THUNDERBIRDS, this coming Friday Night (December 21st) when they host the Sudbury Kal Tire Junior Wolves. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Steelback Centre.

This game will feature a battle of two of the top teams in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. The Thunderbirds (13-3-6-7) enter the game trailing the Jr. Wolves (17-3-9-3) by 8 points for second place in the league while holding three games in hand.

Thunderbird goalies Ryan Dube (2.45) and Travis O’Brien (2.73) enter the game first and third respectively for all goalies in the NOJHL.

Admission to the game is just $8 for Adults, $6 for Students and Seniors while Children 5 & Under are FREE.

About the Thunderbirds …

The Soo Thunderbirds joined the NOJHL for the 1999/2000 season. Over the past 8 seasons, through continued exposure at various tournaments and exhibition games across North America, the Thunderbirds have been able to move over 50 players to a combination of the Ontario Hockey League, Canadian University, semi-pro and U.S. D1 and D3 schools.
