Thunderbirds look to rebound in game three

The Soo Thunderbirds will need to rebound at home in game three of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League semi-finals.

On Saturday night in the Nickel City, the Sudbury Junior Wolves overcame an early 2-0 Thunderbirds lead to win 5-2 and take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Game three is scheduled for Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the John Rhodes Community Centre. Game four goes Wednesday night in Sudbury.

Trevor McNutt and Zack McNally scored for the regular season champion Thunderbirds by the 4:05 mark of the first period.

Sudbury pulled to within a goal by the end of the period and took a 3-2 lead after the second frame.

Former Soo Greyhound Scott Restoule and J.F. Houle scored two goals each for the Wolves while Zach McGillis added the other.
