The Soo Thunder took one of three games on the road this past weekend against the Onaping Falls Huskies in Northern Ontario Bantam Hockey League action.

On Saturday, the Huskies scored an 8-7 win before the Thunder rebounded to rout the Huskies 10-3 in the night cap. Onaping Falls took the regular season series with a 6-1 win on Sunday afternoon.

In the opener, Matthew Amadio scored twice and setup another for the Thunder, who saw a 7-6 lead evaporate with two quick goals by the Huskies early in the third period.

Richard MacLennan scored once and set up two others, Brett Thompson added a goal and an assist while single goals went to Sean Stubbs, Joshua Cerasuolo and Steven Burt. Niclas Beaudoin recorded two assists.

In the win, Amadio, Thompson, Drew MacMillan and Beaudoin each scored twice. Tyler Hawdon and MacLennan added singles while MacMillan, Amadio, Hawdon, Thompson and Cerasuolo each picked up a pair of assists.

On Sunday, Dereck Hurley scored the lone Soo goal.

The Thunder are back in action this weekend with a three-game set on the road against the North Bay Blades.
