The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds kept with their local theme in the final ten rounds of the draft grabbing two more players from the Sault Ste. Marie Midget AAA team after drafting a pair of North Stars in the first five rounds of Saturday’s OHL Draft.

The Hounds started off their North Star spree by picking Brett Perlini in the third round and Dylan King in the fifth. In the seventh round the Hounds grabbed North Stars forward Mike Rivard and with their 10th round pick they chose North Stars defenceman Jacob Chiblow.

In the final round of the draft another pair of local products from the North Stars finally saw their name come up on the screen. North Stars forward Tyler Liukkonen was taken by the Erie Otters with the fourth pick, 284th overall in the 15th round, while North Stars defenceman Kevin Closs was picked seven spots later in the 15th round (293rd overall) by the Sudbury Wolves.
