Sault Ste. Marie (September 9, 2006) - Victor Ciesielski, 2005 Champion of the R.C.G.A. Canadian Club Champions Championship held at Crimson Ridge and current Crimson Ridge tournament course record holder is creating a little majic at this years Canadian Open.

After winning the Monday qualifier for the Open firing a 66 at Hidden Lake he finished as low Canadian after round one. Starting round two with back to back bogeys found Ciesielski sitting on the cut line until the sixth hole. He found some breathing room after an ace on the 210 yard, par three.

Cielielski made the cut and remains one of three Canadians to play on the weekend.

Jesper Parnevik, Camilo Villegas, Arron Oberholser and Jonathan Byrd currently share the lead. Oberholser has also won an event in Sault Ste. Marie as former champion of the Ontario Open which was held at the Sault Ste. Marie Golf Club.
