************************* Tony Gwynn stamps a hit with the fans SAN DIEGO, Jan. 10 - To commemorate the Baseball Hall of Fame Election results on January 9 voting Tony Gwynn and Cal Ripken Jr. into the class of 2007, the Poway Post Office hand cancelled one thousand and nineteen limited edition Tony Gwynn stamps and covers (envelopes).

In the past, it was next to impossible to have a special image on a postage stamp.

However, recent postal regulations have allowed individuals to produce unique stamps through U.S. Postal Department approved printers.

wsRadio.com, an Internet talk radio network headquartered in San Diego and another local San Diego company, CJ's Sports Cards and Memorabilia, teamed up to be the exclusive dealers of a these very special limited edition commemorative Tony Gwynn stamps and covers.

The one of a kind first-class stamp featuring Tony Gwynn swinging a bat in prime form is certain to be a collector's item for fans and stamp collectors alike.

Five hundred and nineteen of the stamps and covers bear an original Tony Gwynn autograph, and the remaining 500 bear a facsimile of his signature.
