System International Snipers U12 win Northern Region Crown

System International Snipers thoroughly dominated their competition from Sudbury with two convincing shutout wins on the weekend in capturing the North Region crown.

On Saturday, the Snipers broke open the game early with goals by Emily Nicoletta, Amy Francella, and Tierra Chartrand and cruised to a 3 – 0 win. The suffocating defense and energetic midfield quashed any hopes of quality scoring chances from Italia. Sunday saw much of the same dominating performance as all the girls showed superior, quality play.

Goals by Mikayla Ferlaino, Bronte Yandeau, Hannah Murray with a pair, and Tierra Chartrand helped the Snipers lock up the crown with a 5 – 0 victory. Brooke Bellerose provided strong netminding with the 2 shutouts despite being hobbled with a foot injury.

The Snipers showed their class in the four game series against their Sudbury counterparts, outscoring them 16 – 0 in capturing the crown.
