At 2 years old she participated in a mom and tot program at the YMCA. From there she has progressed into an amazing gymnast, training at a competitive level. Kaylee shows off for us on the beam!

SooToday reporter Tyler Simpson had a chance to sit down for a brief interview with this bright and talented gymnast.

TS – What got you involved in gymnastics? KR- I am an only child so my mom thought it would be good for me to get experience with other kids. So I started at the YMCA in a mom & tot program and then I eventually came into competitive (gymnastics).

TS – Who was your favorite coach?? KR- Nastasha Wright because she was one of the nicest coaches I’ve ever had!

TS – What is your training schedule like?? KR - I am here 9 hrs a week, Mon, Wed, and Fri from 5:30 until 8:30.

TS – What are your future goals in this sport? KR - I really want to go to the Olympics.

TS – Who is your role model in gymnastics? KR- Shanna Duggan because she is really good at gymnstics.

TS – What is your favorite move to perform? KR – Round off back handspring back-tuck on floor.

TS – What are your hobbies outside of gymnastics? KR- I like to play baseball at school.

TS – What do your friends think of you spending so much time at the gym? KR- Sometimes they think it's awkward because I don’t get to hang out with them as often as they get to hang out with my other friends. But they think it is really cool

TS- What was your most memorable moment? KR- Probably, at our end of the year awards ceremony, getting my first award.

TS – Words from Kaylee’s coach Holly Mousseau HM – “Kaylee has a great spirit, and lots of potential with the sport. She is a very talented gymnast.”

SooToday would like to congratulate Kaylee Raynor on her big win in North Bay as well as being SooToday’s Athlete of the week.
