Strong weekend for Dolphins in Sudbury

It was a great weekend for the Soo Y Dolphins, as a team of 14 swimmers attended the East Side Mario's Long Course swim from May 12 - 14, 2006 in Sudbury. Swimming strong for the Dolphins was Peter Greve. In the Boys age group 10 and under, Greve brought home four first place finishes in the 100 Free, 100 Back, 100 Butterfly and the 200 IM. He also captured second place finishes for the 50 Free, 100 Breaststroke and 200 Breaststroke. In the Girls 11 - 12 Age Group, Marina Fournier placed 2nd in the 800 Freestyle, 3rd in the 400 Free and 200 Backstroke. She also placed 4th in the 200 IM and 5th in the 100 Backstroke. Brandon Corelli, took 2nd place in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke in the Boys 11 - 12 Age Group. Corelli also placed 3rd in the 100 Free, 400 free and 200 IM. He also added a 4th place finish in the 50 free and a 5th place finish in the 100 Butterfly to his wins. In the Girls 13 - 14 Age Group, Celine Valiquette placed 3rd in the 200 Breaststroke, 5th in the 100 Breaststroke and 400 IM. In the Girls 15 and Over Age Group, Taylor Corelli and Sarah Ingram paired up for nine top five finishes between them. Corelli placed 3rd in the 400 IM 4th in the 400 Freestyle and finished with four 5th place finishes in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free and 800 Free. Ingram finished 3rd in the 200 IM, 4th in the 400 IM and 5th in the 100 Backstroke. Brent Caverly took home seven top five finishes in the Boys 15 and Over Age Category. Caverly placed 2nd in the 100 Butterfly, 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke and 100 Freestyle. He also finished 4th in the 200 Freestyle, 200 Breastroke, 200 IM and 5th in the 400 IM. Also contributing to the Dolphin's overall success at this swim meet with some personal best times were; Anna Lees, Bridget Murphy, Glenna Lambert, Riley Grant, Holly Williamson, Haille Grant and Nora-Beth Saunders.
