For the second straight night, the Soo Greyhounds rallied from behind to capture a win.

Trailing 2-1, the Greyhounds scored two late third period goals to snag a 3-2 victory over the Guelph Storm in Ontario Hockey League action on Friday night.

The victory follows a 4-3 shootout win over the Barrie Colts on Thursday as the Hounds rebounded from a 3-1 deficit.

Trailing 1-0 early in the third period, Hounds captain Cody Thornton notched his first goal of the year on the power play to knot things up at 1-1.

After Guelph regained the lead, Josh Godfrey tied the game with 5:53 remaining in regulation time. Thornton would emerge as the hero just 1:08 later when he scored his second goal of the night for the win.

Kyle Gajewski made the start in goal for the Greyhounds once again and stopped 29 of 31 shots for the win. The Soo peppered Guelph with 43 shots.

Ryan Potruff and Rafael Rotter scored for the Storm.

The Greyhounds conclude their three-game road trip on Sunday against the Oshawa Generals at 6:05 p.m.
