As the season at LIR continues down the final stretch, drivers are making a mad dash at gaining points in the standings. Every division remains up for grabs as the driving becomes more intense.

McClelland entered the night 20 points behind late model leader Rick Leonard. Third place Rick Ellis wont he second heat race while Shawn Ritchie won the opening heat.

The classic battle between George Wilson and Rob Sartini has highlighted the super stock division. On this night, Wilson, who entered the night with a slim seven point lead on Sartini, won the feature race. Dennis Varcoe won the opening heat while Chris Furkey won the second heat.

The factory stock division remains wide open with several drivers in the hunt. Rick Marriotti won the feature while heat races were won by Jason Praysner in race one and three, Marty Devon and David Slingsby.

Bob Laphew won the pure stock feature with Norm Miller winning the opening heat and Al Odbert III the second heat.

The stock four cylinder class continues to become more competitive week after week. Randy Hache won the feature. Dan Dinsmore won the first heat while David Mortimore won the second heat.

Action continues at Laird next Thursday night with time trials beginning at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.
