In true Canadian fashion, the Sault Steelers used a rouge to take a big Northern Football Conference victory on Saturday night at Rocky DiPietro Field.

With less than 20 seconds remaining and possession of the ball on the Tri-City Outlaws' eight yard line, Steelers head coach Barry Rushon send out his punting unit.

Punter Brad Beatty then sailed a punt through the end zone with 15 seconds remaining for a single point and a 15-14 Steelers victory in front of a large, supportive crowd on the Steelers' 35th Anniversary night.

The victory over the defending champion Outlaws improves the Steelers record to 3-1 heading into a bye week.

Running back Josh Gauthier and quarterback Travis McLean both made their returns to field for the Steelers and played huge roles in the outcome of this contest.
