The St. Basil Saints were eliminated from the Northern Ontario Secondary Schools Association (NOSSA) 'AAA' girls basketball championships on the weekend with semi-final losses in both the junior and senior divisions.
In senior, the Saints fell 51-35 to Sudbury Lockerby in Saturday's semi-final. Corina Bruni had 19 points while Iolanda Runco added five.
St. Basil opened the tournament Friday with a 48-26 to Sudbury Lasalle.
In junior, Lockerby edged the Saints 35-30 in the semi-final as Sara DiDonato paced St. Basil with 13 points and Chrissy Briel added 10.
The Saints opened with a 47-38 loss to Lasalle.
