Dave Slingsby and Dick Wellwood both had perfect nights at Laird International Raceway on Thursday night.

Both drivers raced their way to perfect nights with a pair of heat wins and feature wins in their respective divisions; Slingsby in the Modified division and Wellwood in Factory Stock.

Slingsby was in for a tough fight as he held off Mav MacDonald and Nick Jobst in all three races to come away with the perfect night. MacDonald finished second in all three races while Jobst finished third.

Wellwood held off three different second place finishers on the night en route to a trio of wins. John Hamilton finished second in heat one, John Fragale finished second in heat two and Mike Hearty finished in second spot in the feature.

In the Stock Four division, Tyler Parsons had a strong night, despite car troubles prior to the feature. Involved in a wreck earlier in the night, Parsons came home with a second place finish in the feature race behind Brandan Penno. Parsons also had a victory and a second place finish behind Donny Mergaert in his two heat races. Adam Gardner and Chris Humphrey split the other two heats.

In the Late Model division a wreck at the midway point of the feature race took some of the spotlight off Chris Furkey who opened up a big lead and cruised to the win. Paul Seabrook, Nick Guerriero, and Jason Praysner got tangled up heading into turn one and left Praysner off the track and Guerriero on the edge just outside turn one. Once the race was restarted, Furkey opened a big lead over Rod Bolduc and cruised to the win. Bolduc won the first heat race while Rick Leonard, who finished second in heat one, came away with the victory in the second heat.
