SKI GOLD FOR ACTON

Brigitte Acton of Sault Ste. Marie won the gold medal in women's downhill at the Pontiac GMC Canadian Junior Alpine Ski Championships in Quebec City on Sunday. In the same event, Lauren Lattimer, also of the Sault, won the silver medal.

Brigitte Acton of Sault Ste. Marie won the gold medal in women's downhill at the Pontiac GMC Canadian Junior Alpine Ski Championships in Quebec City on Sunday.

In the same event, Lauren Lattimer, also of the Sault, won the silver medal.

Acton is 17-years old, while Lattimer is a 19-year old. Competition continues Monday through Thursday of this week.
