Seven first place finishes for Dolphins at long course meet

The Soo Y Dolphins swim team attended the NEOR #4 Development Long Course Swim Meet in Sudbury this weekend. In the Female 10 and Under Age Category, Bridget Murphy placed first in the 200m Backstroke and third in the 200m Breastroke, 200m Freestyle and 200m IM. Peter Greve was a strong swimmer in the Male 11 and Under Age Category. Peter placed first in the 200m Breaststroke and 200m Backstroke. He also took second place in the 200m Freestyle and third in the 200m Individual Medley and 50m Freestyle. Alex Christie placed second in the 200m IM. Marina Fournier and Lauren Stitt also had a top three finish in the Female 11 - 12 Age Category. Fournier placed first in the 800 Freestyle and 200 IM. She also took second place in the 400 Freestyle and third in the 200 Backstroke. Stitt finished third in the 400 Freestyle. In the Male 12 - 13 Age Category, Brand Corelli and Riley Grant both had top three finishes. Brandon finished first in the 50m Freestyle and third in both the 200m Backstroke and 400m Freestyle. Riley placed second in the 100m Backstroke, second in the 100m Breaststroke and third in the 200 m IM. In the Male 16 and Over Age Category, Brent Caverly finished first in the 400m IM, second in the 50m Freestyle and 200m IM. Caverly also finished 3rd in the 400m Freestyle and 200m Freestyle. Thomas Rose placed second in the 200 m Butterfly and third in the 50m Freestyle.
